3M Microfinishing PSA Film Type D Disc 366L is rated Best in the 3M Microfinishing line of film backed discs. It features micron-graded aluminum oxide abrasive bonded to a durable polyester film backing to produce a fast cut-rate and uniform finish on wood, solid surface composites, plastic, fiberglass, paint prep, coating and corrosion removal, primer, e-coat, or metal.

We gave these discs an anti-load coating and open coat surface to increase efficiency and product life by minimizing loading. The abrasive is resin-bonded and supports disc flexibility without sacrificing durability and reliable performance under high heat and pressure. To compliment the effective abrasive action, the polyester film backing flexes to help achieve a consistent finish over contours and offers greater tear-resistance than comparable paper products, making it ideal for high-production environments. And the pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) provides easy attachment, holds the disc securely in place during use, and removes cleanly from the backup pad (sold separately). Designed for use with orbital and random orbital sanders, this disc comes in a range of micron grades for complete multi-step sanding and finishing.

Our 3M™ Microfinishing PSA Film Disc 366L features precision, micron-graded aluminum oxide, which is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

Sanding discs cut better and last longer when dust isn't clogging the cutting surface of the abrasives. Open coat construction means the abrasive grains are placed with space between them to help evacuate sawdust and other sanding debris and avoid clogging the cutting edge of the grains. The load-resistant coating also allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the disc and hinder sanding ability. Additionally, the open coat feature provides a more aggressive cut than a comparable closed coat abrasive of the same grade. All of this adds up to increased productivity and reduced material consumption.

Our 3M™ sanding discs come in a variety of forms to fit various power tools and disc pads. These high-quality abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to a backup pad or hand pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next sheet or disc.

    3M Microfinishing PSA Film

The 3M Microfinishing PSA Film Disc 366L offers a reliable sanding solution with its pressure sensitive adhesive backing. This feature makes attachment quick and removal clean, ideal for multi-step finishing processes. The model 366L is part of 3M’s trusted Microfinishing line, known for consistent performance.

Designed for use with orbital and random orbital sanders, this disc ensures secure placement during use. Its adhesive backing supports efficient sanding without slipping, making it a practical choice for professionals seeking dependable results.

    Precise 15 Mic 3MIL Grade

This sanding disc features a 15 Mic 3MIL grade, providing a fine abrasive surface that balances fast cutting with a uniform finish. The micron-graded aluminum oxide abrasive is precision-made to deliver long life and consistent results across various materials.

Such a grade is perfect for finishing wood, composites, plastics, and metals, offering versatility in applications. The fine abrasive ensures smooth surfaces while maintaining efficiency in sanding tasks.

    Durable 5 Inch Size

The disc measures 5 inches in diameter, fitting standard sanding tools and backup pads. This size offers a good balance between coverage and control, allowing users to work effectively on both flat and contoured surfaces.

Its polyester film backing adds flexibility and tear resistance, making it suitable for high-production environments where durability matters. The 5-inch format is widely compatible with many orbital sanding machines.

    Type D Open Coat

Featuring a Type D open coat construction, this disc prevents clogging by spacing abrasive grains apart. This design helps evacuate dust and debris, maintaining cutting efficiency and extending disc life during sanding.

The open coat also provides a more aggressive cut compared to closed coat abrasives of the same grade. This makes it especially effective for sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials prone to loading.

    Bulk Pack 500 Count

Available in a bulk pack of 500 discs per case, this product suits high-volume users and industrial settings. The pack count ensures a steady supply for ongoing projects without frequent reordering.

Each bag contains 50 discs, organized for easy storage and access. This format supports efficient workflow and reduces downtime in busy workshops or production lines.
