3M 740I Hookit Abrasive Disc is a heavy E weight paper disc built for long life and high performance during auto body jobs such as deburring, shaping, and the removal of rust and paint. It is resin bonded to resist heat, and a self-fracturing aluminum oxide cutting surface stays sharper longer than standard abrasives. Grades include 36E, 40E and 60E for the toughest applications.

Available in coarse grades from 36E to 60E, our 740I Hookit™ Abrasive Disc is built for durability during tough auto body repair jobs. The high performance abrasive disc is suitable for materials including fiberglass, filler, metal and plastic and features heavy E weight paper backing that resists tearing and edgewear even during aggressive sanding. Its aluminum oxide mineral cutting surface self-fractures during use, continually exposing fresh cutting edges to stay sharper longer. The grain is resin bonded for superior heat resistance, further extending the life of the grain and the disc.

    High-Performance Features for Demanding Jobs
Use our 740I Hookit™ Abrasive Disc for applications including paint removal, rust removal, shaping of metal or body filler, deburring and more. The discs are suitable for hand or power sanding in wet or dry applications.

The Hookit™ hook-and-loop feature makes disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment clean and easy, and facilitates use and re-use of the disc for the full extent of its abrasive life. The brushed nylon loop backing on 740I Hookit™ Abrasive Discs attaches firmly to J-shaped hooks on the disc pad (sold separately). The Hookit™ system is designed for work spaces and applications where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris.

    Trusted 3M Imperial Quality

The 3M Imperial Hookit Disc 740I, model 01745, delivers reliable performance for demanding tasks. This abrasive disc is designed by 3M, a brand known for quality and innovation in sanding products.

Its reputation ensures users get a product built for tough auto body jobs, combining durability with consistent results. The 740I model stands out for its balance of strength and precision.

    Coarse Grade 36E Performance

This pack features the 36E grade, a coarse abrasive ideal for shaping and removing paint or rust. The aggressive grit makes it perfect for fast material removal on various surfaces.

With 25 discs per carton and 4 cartons per case, you get plenty of supply for extended projects. The coarse grade ensures efficiency in heavy-duty sanding and prepping tasks.

    Durable Heavy E Backing

The discs use a heavy E weight paper backing, which resists tearing and edgewear during aggressive sanding. This backing supports multiple uses without compromising disc integrity.

Its strength helps maintain consistent sanding performance, even on tough materials like metal, fiberglass, and plastic. This backing choice extends the life of each disc in the 8 inch size.

    Hookit Attachment System

The Hookit hook-and-loop system allows quick and clean disc changes, maximizing the disc’s usable life. This system attaches firmly to J-shaped hooks on the disc pad, sold separately.

It’s especially useful in dusty or dirty workspaces where adhesive discs might fail. The easy re-attachment feature helps reduce downtime and waste during sanding jobs.

    8 Inch Size Convenience

These abrasive discs measure 8 inches in diameter, a common size for many power sanders. This size balances surface coverage with control for detailed auto body work.

Each case contains 4 cartons, with 25 discs per carton, providing a total of 100 discs. This pack size supports long-term projects without frequent reordering.
