    Economical Features, Reliable Results
Part of a full range of economical abrasives, our 3M™ Hookit™ Red Abrasive Disc 316U delivers dependable performance on a variety of collision repair substrates. The reattachable abrasive disc is ideal for fine featheredging and putty sanding, or choose a Red Abrasive Disc with D-weight paper backing for aggressive shaping of plastic filler or paint removal around damaged areas. Seven-hole construction on several versions of the 316U clears dust from the surface area and increases resistance to loading.

Aluminum Oxide Provides Performance and Savings
3M's durable, reliable and economical abrasive saves material costs while delivering dependable results in collision repair. Aluminum oxide is popular among collision repair professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral is suitable for a wide variety of metalworking materials including ferrous alloys.

    Our Hookit™ Attachment System
The Hookit™ attachment system has a hook-and-loop feature which makes disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment clean and easy. It also facilitates use and re-use of the disc for maximum product life. Hookit™ discs have a brushed nylon loop backing of the type most commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. 3M™ Hookit™ disc pads (sold separately) feature hooks which grip the brushed nylon loop backing. It’s simple: just attach the disc on and start sanding. The disc removes just as cleanly and easily. The Hookit™ system is designed for work spaces and applications where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris.

A Comprehensive Range of Economical Sanding Discs
The 3M™ Hookit™ Red Abrasive Disc 316U carries our Red designation which indicates an economical option in an abrasive disc. From its abrasive to its adhesive-backed attachment, this disc delivers durability and reliability across your entire collision repair operation.

    Trusted 3M Hookit Model

The 3M Hookit Red Abrasive Disc, model 01677, is designed for reliable performance in various sanding tasks. This model features the Hookit attachment system, making disc changes quick and efficient.

Its reattachable design allows for multiple uses, saving time and materials. The Hookit system ensures discs stay secure during use and remove cleanly when needed.

    Precise P80 Grade Abrasive

This abrasive disc comes in a P80 grade, ideal for medium sanding jobs like filler shaping and paint prep. The P80 grit balances cutting speed with surface finish quality.

Users can rely on consistent results whether working on plastic filler or paint removal. The grade suits a variety of collision repair tasks requiring moderate abrasion.

    Durable 8 Inch Size

Measuring 8 inches in diameter, these discs cover a broad surface area for efficient sanding. The size fits many standard sanding tools and pads, making it versatile for different projects.

Its dimensions help speed up work on larger surfaces while maintaining control. The 8-inch format is common in collision repair and finishing applications.

    Reliable Paper Backing Types

The discs use either A-weight or D-weight paper backing, chosen for specific project needs. A-weight offers flexibility for fine featheredging, while D-weight provides durability for aggressive shaping.

This backing variety ensures the abrasive disc performs well across different sanding pressures and materials. It supports both delicate and heavy-duty tasks effectively.

    Bulk Pack Convenience

Each carton contains 25 discs, and the case includes 5 cartons, totaling 125 discs per case. This bulk packaging suits high-volume users and helps reduce frequent reordering.

Having a large pack size supports continuous workflow in busy collision repair shops. It also offers cost savings compared to smaller quantities.
