  • Product Description
    • 3M Hookit discs are easy to change and reuse, maximizing sanding utility for the life of the disc
    • Open coat construction and load-resistant coating prevent premature loading of the disc surface to maximize cut and extend abrasive life
    • Premium aluminum oxide mineral is durable, cuts fast, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Strong, C-weight paper backing supports aggressive sanding with extra durability compared to lighter weight paper backings
3M Hookit Paper Disc 236U offers aggressive cut and long life on a premium aluminum oxide disc with a durable edge and convenient Hookit attachment. A go-to product in many industrial operations, this durable disc is well suited for high production sanding operations as well as general purpose applications on paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

Designed for use with a random orbital sander, the strong C-weight paper backing on our 3M Hookit Paper Disc 236U resists tearing and edgewear during aggressive sanding, and the disc is resin-bonded for heat-resistance, further increasing life and cut. These discs also feature an open coat and a load-resistant coating to enhance dust management and cut-rate.

A load-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding softwoods, paints, and other materials that would, otherwise, clog the surface of the disc and hinder sanding ability. Loading is further reduced by an open coat, which means the abrasive grains are spaced slightly apart so that dust can escape rather than obstructing the cutting edge of the grains, thereby optimizing cut-rate and disc life.

Sanding discs come in a variety of forms to fit various power tools and disc pads. We designed the 3M Hookit Paper Disc 236U to conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander, to be removed cleanly and easily, and be simple to reuse. A load-resistant coating prevents wood dust, paint particles, and other debris from prematurely clogging the surface of the disc, optimizing cut-rate and disc life.

    Trusted 3M Hookit Model

The 3M Hookit Paper Disc 236U is a reliable choice for sanding tasks. This model features the Hookit attachment system, making disc changes quick and easy while maximizing the disc's lifespan.

Designed for use with random orbital sanders, the 236U model supports efficient sanding on various surfaces. Its Hookit system ensures a firm hold and simple removal, enhancing productivity.

    Durable C-weight Backing

This sanding disc uses a strong C-weight paper backing, which offers extra durability compared to lighter paper backings. It resists tearing and edgewear during aggressive sanding jobs.

The sturdy backing supports high production sanding and general purpose use on materials like paint, primer, wood, metal, plastic, and composites, including fiberglass.

    Premium Grade P400 Abrasive

The disc features a P400 grade abrasive, providing a fine sanding finish suitable for detailed work. This grade balances cut rate and surface smoothness effectively.

With the P400 grade, users can expect consistent performance on a variety of surfaces, making it ideal for both industrial and general applications.

    Five Inch Disc Size

Measuring 5 inches in diameter, this disc size fits many common random orbital sanders. The size offers a good balance between coverage and control during sanding.

The 5 inch dimension allows for efficient sanding on medium to large surfaces, making it versatile for different project scales and materials.

    Convenient Pack Count

This product comes in a pack of 50 discs, with 250 discs per case, ensuring ample supply for ongoing sanding needs. The pack size supports bulk purchasing for industrial use.

Having 50 discs per pack reduces downtime for replacements and helps maintain steady workflow in high production environments.
