    Improved Sanding for Low-Speed Projects
Lightweight, durable and well-balanced, our 3M™ Hookit™ Pad is built for low-speed sanding  or grinding applications in collision repair. Its firm density foam body provides excellent support for 3M™ Hookit™ abrasive discs (sold separately) and its 15° tapered edge adds control for accurate, consistent flat sanding near the edges of the substrate. With its five mounting holes, the 8” disc pad bolts firmly onto orbital sanders. Its pad face features our Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment system for fast, easy disc change outs and longer disc life.

    About Our Hooki™Attachment System
The Hookit™ hook-and-loop feature makes disc attachment, removal and re-attachment clean and easy, and facilitates use and re-use of the disc for the full extent of its abrasive life. Hookit™ disc pads have J-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. Hookit™ disc pads grip the brushed nylon loop backings of 3M™ Hookit™ discs to provide a finer finish than adhesive backed discs. The Hookit™ system is designed for work spaces and applications where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris.

Better Science for Better Sanding from 3M
Our Hookit™ Disc Pad is a compact, durable example of how 3M applies science to the lives of auto body technicians and operators. From its taper to its firm density to its Hookit™ attachment system, it helps you get the most out of your operations in collision repair.

    Trusted 3M Hookit Pad

The 3M Hookit Pad D/F, model 05783, is designed for reliable sanding performance. This 8 inch pad features a firm density construction that supports flat sanding tasks effectively.

Its Hookit attachment system allows quick disc changes, maximizing the life of abrasive discs. This model comes as 1 per case, ensuring you get the exact tool you need for collision repair jobs.

    Precise 15 Degree Taper

The pad’s 15° taper adds control when sanding close to edges, helping you achieve accurate results. This design is especially useful for detailed work near corners and edges.

With this taper, you can maintain consistent flat sanding while avoiding damage to surrounding surfaces. It’s a practical feature for low-speed sanding projects requiring precision.

    Durable Low-Speed Design

Built for low-speed sanding, the pad supports speeds up to 1500 RPM. This makes it ideal for collision repair where careful, controlled sanding is needed.

The firm density foam body balances durability with lightweight handling. It’s well suited for flat sanding applications, providing steady support throughout your work.

    Secure Five Bolt Holes

The 8 inch pad includes 5 bolt holes for firm attachment to orbital sanders. This ensures the pad stays securely in place during use, reducing wobble or slippage.

These mounting holes help maintain consistent sanding pressure and improve overall control. It’s a key feature for professional-grade sanding tools.

    Easy One Per Case

This product is sold as 1 per case, making it easy to order exactly what you need. The single pad packaging helps reduce waste and simplifies inventory management.

Having one pad per case also means you can replace worn pads without buying in bulk. This flexibility suits both small shops and larger operations.
