Durable film construction provides the tear resistance needed for the use of coarse grades in high-production metalworking environments, particularly where edge wear is a concern.
3M Hookit Film Disc 375L is suitable for a variety of applications. When the goal is a superior wood finish, the 375L film disc in medium grades conforms well to the contours and rounded edges of challenging work surfaces to deliver a superior finish. Woodworking applications are further enhanced by a load-resistant coating and open coat construction, which reduce clogging and extend the life of the abrasive. For pre- and post-paint finishing, versatility is key, and the 375L film disc in fine grades is designed to deliver a superb uniform finish on plastics and clear coat technologies commonly used in the transportation industry.
3M Hookit Film Disc 375L is designed for use with a random orbital sander and the 3M Hookit backup pad (sold separately). It comes in a range of grades for various applications from rough sanding to very fine finishing.
Hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit discs are ideal for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life. Hookit discs provide optimal performance when paired with a 3M Hookit disc pad.
Film-backed discs have excellent tear-resistant properties and provide a very uniform finish and consistent results with each use. This makes them an excellent option when working on paint, e-coats, primers, gel coats, glass, acrylics and solid surface material, wood topcoats and anywhere else a perfect finish is needed.
Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
Trusted 3M Hookit Model
The 3M Hookit Film Disc 375L is designed for easy changing and reusing, maximizing the disc's life. This model features a hook-and-loop system that firmly attaches to backup pads, making it ideal for repeated use without adhesive residue.
Its compatibility with 3M Hookit backup pads ensures optimal performance on random orbital sanders. This model is preferred where finer finishes are needed compared to adhesive-backed discs, offering versatility in many sanding tasks.
Precise P320 Grade Finish
The P320 3MIL grade of this 3M Hookit Film Disc 375L offers a fine abrasive level suitable for detailed finishing work. This grade helps deliver a uniform and consistent finish on various surfaces, including plastics and clear coats.
It’s especially effective for pre- and post-paint finishing, providing a superb finish on transportation industry materials. The fine grade balances aggressive cutting with smooth results, ideal for delicate or detailed projects.
Durable Film Backing Benefits
This disc features a durable film backing that is tear-resistant and provides consistent results. The film construction supports coarse grades in high-production metalworking environments, reducing edge wear and extending disc life.
Its tear resistance makes it excellent for sanding paint, primers, gel coats, and wood topcoats. The film backing also helps maintain a uniform finish, even on contoured or rounded surfaces.
Six Inch Size Versatility
The 6 inch diameter size of the 3M Hookit Film Disc 375L fits standard random orbital sanders. This size is versatile enough for woodworking, metalworking, and automotive applications, providing a balance between control and coverage.
Its dimensions make it suitable for detailed sanding on contoured surfaces, ensuring smooth results on edges and curves. The size also supports efficient sanding on larger flat areas without sacrificing precision.
Bulk Pack Convenience
Available in a pack of 50 discs per carton and 250 discs per case, this product offers great value for high-volume users. Bulk packaging reduces downtime by ensuring a steady supply of discs for continuous work.
These pack counts support industrial and professional environments where frequent disc changes are necessary. The packaging also helps keep discs organized and protected until use.
