Durable film construction provides the tear resistance needed for the use of coarse grades in high-production metalworking environments, particularly where edge wear is a concern.
3M Hookit Film Disc 375L is suitable for a variety of applications. When the goal is a superior wood finish, the 375L film disc in medium grades conforms well to the contours and rounded edges of challenging work surfaces to deliver a superior finish. Woodworking applications are further enhanced by a load-resistant coating and open coat construction, which reduce clogging and extend the life of the abrasive. For pre- and post-paint finishing, versatility is key, and the 375L film disc in fine grades is designed to deliver a superb uniform finish on plastics and clear coat technologies commonly used in the transportation industry.
3M Hookit Film Disc 375L is designed for use with a random orbital sander and the 3M Hookit backup pad (sold separately). It comes in a range of grades for various applications from rough sanding to very fine finishing.
Hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit discs are ideal for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life. Hookit discs provide optimal performance when paired with a 3M Hookit disc pad.
Film-backed discs have excellent tear-resistant properties and provide a very uniform finish and consistent results with each use. This makes them an excellent option when working on paint, e-coats, primers, gel coats, glass, acrylics and solid surface material, wood topcoats and anywhere else a perfect finish is needed.
Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
Reliable 3M Hookit Model
The 3M Hookit Film Disc 375L is designed for easy changing and reusing, which maximizes the utility of each disc. This model features a hook-and-loop system that attaches firmly to backup pads, making it convenient for repeated use throughout the abrasive life.
Ideal for workspaces where adhesive discs might get contaminated, the 375L model offers a finer finish compared to adhesive-backed discs. It pairs best with a 3M Hookit backup pad, sold separately, ensuring optimal performance on various surfaces.
Precise P1000 Grade Finish
The P1000 grade of the 3M Hookit Film Disc 375L delivers a superb uniform finish, especially on plastics and clear coats common in transportation industries. This grade is perfect for pre- and post-paint finishing tasks requiring a smooth, consistent surface.
With its load-resistant coating and open coat construction, the disc reduces clogging and extends abrasive life. This makes the P1000 grade suitable for detailed work on contoured surfaces and rounded edges.
Durable 6 Inch Size
Measuring 6 inches in diameter, the 3M Hookit Film Disc 375L fits well with random orbital sanders, providing a balanced sanding area for various applications. This size supports both rough sanding and fine finishing tasks effectively.
The 6-inch dimension allows the disc to conform well to contoured surfaces, enhancing its versatility. It’s especially useful in woodworking and metalworking environments where precision and flexibility are needed.
Efficient Die 600Z Format
The Die 600Z format of the 3M Hookit Film Disc 375L ensures compatibility with specific sanding tools and backup pads. This format supports the disc’s tear-resistant film backing, which provides a consistent finish and long-lasting durability.
This format is designed to withstand high-production metalworking environments, particularly where edge wear is a concern. It helps maintain the disc’s integrity and performance over extended use.
Convenient 50 Per Carton
Each carton contains 50 discs, making it easy to stock up for ongoing projects. The pack size supports efficient workflow by reducing the need for frequent reordering and ensuring a steady supply of abrasive discs.
With 250 discs per case, this pack count suits both small workshops and larger industrial settings. It balances quantity and convenience, helping users maintain productivity without interruption.
