3M Hookit Film Disc 375L delivers outstanding tear resistance, flexibility, and a consistent, uniform finish on a variety of substrates. Premium aluminum oxide abrasive grain offers a fast cut-rate and extended product life for greater productivity.

Durable film construction provides the tear resistance needed for the use of coarse grades in high-production metalworking environments, particularly where edge wear is a concern.

3M Hookit Film Disc 375L is suitable for a variety of applications. When the goal is a superior wood finish, the 375L film disc in medium grades conforms well to the contours and rounded edges of challenging work surfaces to deliver a superior finish. Woodworking applications are further enhanced by a load-resistant coating and open coat construction, which reduce clogging and extend the life of the abrasive. For pre- and post-paint finishing, versatility is key, and the 375L film disc in fine grades is designed to deliver a superb uniform finish on plastics and clear coat technologies commonly used in the transportation industry.

3M Hookit Film Disc 375L is designed for use with a random orbital sander and the 3M Hookit backup pad (sold separately). It comes in a range of grades for various applications from rough sanding to very fine finishing.

Hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit discs are ideal for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life. Hookit discs provide optimal performance when paired with a 3M Hookit disc pad.

Film-backed discs have excellent tear-resistant properties and provide a very uniform finish and consistent results with each use. This makes them an excellent option when working on paint, e-coats, primers, gel coats, glass, acrylics and solid surface material, wood topcoats and anywhere else a perfect finish is needed.

Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

    3M Hookit Film Disc

The 3M Hookit Film Disc 375L offers a reliable sanding solution with easy change and reuse features. This model maximizes utility throughout the disc's life, making it a smart choice for various sanding tasks.

Designed with a durable film backing, the disc resists tears and ensures a consistent finish. Its hook-and-loop system allows quick attachment and removal, ideal for workspaces where dust and debris are common.

    Premium Grade P100 Benefits

This product features a P100 grade, providing a balance of aggressive cutting and fine finishing. The premium aluminum oxide abrasive delivers a fast cut rate and long life, suitable for many surfaces.

Whether rough sanding or fine finishing, the P100 grade supports versatility. It performs well on wood, metal, and plastics, making it a dependable choice for different projects.

    Size And Format Details

The disc measures 5 inches in diameter and uses a NH die 500X format. This size fits well with random orbital sanders and 3M Hookit backup pads, ensuring compatibility and ease of use.

Its open coat construction helps prevent clogging, maintaining performance during extended use. The film backing also adds flexibility, especially on contoured surfaces.

    Durable Film Backing Advantages

The 3MIL film backing on this disc is tear-resistant and flexible, providing a uniform finish every time. This durability is essential for high-production environments where edge wear can be an issue.

It’s especially effective on challenging surfaces like rounded edges and contours. The backing supports consistent results on wood topcoats, primers, and clear coats.

    Pack Count And Usage

This product comes in a carton of 50 discs, with 250 discs per case. Such pack sizes are convenient for industrial or professional users who require a steady supply of sanding discs.

The discs are designed for use with random orbital sanders and 3M Hookit backup pads (sold separately). Their hook-and-loop attachment allows for easy removal and reuse throughout the abrasive life.
