  • Product Description
    • 3M Hookit Disc is easy to change and reuse, maximizing utility for the life of the disc
    • Aluminum oxide abrasive offers a fast cut and long life, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Durable film backing is tear-resistant and provides a close-tolerance, consistent finish
    • Open coat construction helps reduce loading and provides a more aggressive cut
    • Suitable for sanding and finishing on composites, gel coats, fiberglass, and other solid surface materials
The 3M Hookit Film Disc 360L features an aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing for effective fine sanding on plastics, gel coats and polyurethane solid surface substrates. The sturdy film backing gives the durability needed for a high-production environment, and its excellent resistance to edge tearing provides longer life over discs with standard A-weight paper backings.

The film backing gives you a close-tolerance, consistent finish, making it a good choice for applications such as spot repairs, sanding plastic parts, paint feathering on defects, or sanding automotive primer.

To help reduce loading on the disc, we designed an open coat construction without a load-resistant stearate coating. Our convenient 3M Hookit hook-and-loop attachment on the backing enables easy re-use so the disc can be used again and again for the life of the product, and attaches to our low-profile 3M Hookit Disc Pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. Our Film Disc 360L comes in a range of grades for various applications from fine sanding to finishing.

Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

At 3M we offer a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life

    Trusted 3M Hookit Quality

The 3M Hookit Film Disc 360L offers reliable performance with the trusted 3M brand. This model features the Hookit system, making disc changes quick and easy while allowing reuse to maximize the disc’s life.

Its design suits professionals who need consistent results. The Hookit attachment works with compatible 3M pads, ensuring a secure fit during sanding tasks.

    Precise P800 Grade Finish

This disc comes in the P800 grade, ideal for fine sanding and finishing jobs. The grade ensures a smooth finish on surfaces like plastics and gel coats without aggressive abrasion.

Using the P800 grit helps achieve detailed work such as paint feathering or spot repairs, making it a versatile choice for automotive and composite materials.

    Optimal 3 Inch Size

Measuring 3 inches by 7/8 inch, this disc fits a variety of sanding tools and applications. The compact size allows for precise control in tight or detailed areas.

Its dimensions make it compatible with many random orbital sanders, especially when paired with the 3M Hookit Disc Pad, sold separately for convenience.

    Durable Film Backing Format

The disc uses a durable film backing that resists tearing and provides a consistent finish. This backing outperforms standard paper backings in longevity and toughness.

Film backing also supports the open coat construction, reducing loading and maintaining aggressive cutting action on composites and solid surfaces.

    Bulk Pack Convenience

Available in a pack of 50 discs per carton and 200 discs per case, this product suits high-volume users. Buying in bulk ensures you have a steady supply for ongoing projects.

The pack count supports efficient inventory management for workshops and industrial settings, reducing downtime from frequent reordering.
