Product Description
- 3M Hookit Disc is easy to change and reuse, maximizing utility for the life of the disc
- Aluminum oxide abrasive offers a fast cut and long life, and performs well on many surfaces
- Durable film backing is tear-resistant and provides a close-tolerance, consistent finish
- Open coat construction helps reduce loading and provides a more aggressive cut
- Suitable for sanding and finishing on composites, gel coats, fiberglass, and other solid surface materials
The film backing gives you a close-tolerance, consistent finish, making it a good choice for applications such as spot repairs, sanding plastic parts, paint feathering on defects, or sanding automotive primer.
To help reduce loading on the disc, we designed an open coat construction without a load-resistant stearate coating. Our convenient 3M Hookit hook-and-loop attachment on the backing enables easy re-use so the disc can be used again and again for the life of the product, and attaches to our low-profile 3M Hookit Disc Pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. Our Film Disc 360L comes in a range of grades for various applications from fine sanding to finishing.
Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
At 3M we offer a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life
Trusted 3M Hookit Quality
The 3M Hookit Film Disc 360L offers reliable performance with the trusted 3M brand. This model features the Hookit system, which makes changing and reusing discs simple and efficient. The hook-and-loop attachment ensures the disc stays secure during use while allowing easy removal.
Designed for professionals, the 360L model is ideal for various sanding tasks. Its compatibility with 3M Hookit Disc Pads means you can quickly swap discs on your random orbital sander, maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
Precise P320 Grade Finish
This product comes in the P320 grade, perfect for fine sanding and finishing applications. The grade ensures a consistent finish on surfaces like plastics and automotive primers, helping you achieve smooth results every time.
Using the P320 grit, you can effectively handle spot repairs and paint feathering on defects. This grade balances cutting speed and surface refinement, making it a versatile choice for detailed work.
Durable 3 Inch Size
The disc measures 3 inches in diameter, providing a manageable size for precision sanding. This dimension fits well on standard random orbital sanders, giving you control and accuracy during use.
Its compact size is ideal for working on smaller parts or tight areas, such as gel coats and fiberglass surfaces. The 3-inch format helps you reach detailed spots without sacrificing sanding efficiency.
Reliable Film Backing Format
The disc uses a durable film backing that resists tearing and maintains close tolerances. This backing type supports a consistent finish and extends the disc’s life compared to paper-backed alternatives.
Film backing also enhances the disc’s durability in high-production environments. It withstands repeated use and provides a smooth sanding experience on composites and solid surface materials.
Convenient 50 Pack Carton
Each carton contains 50 discs, making it easy to stock up for ongoing projects. This pack size supports continuous work without frequent reordering, ideal for busy workshops or industrial settings.
With 200 discs per case, you can supply multiple workstations or maintain a steady inventory. The pack count ensures you have enough discs for various sanding and finishing tasks across different materials.
