  • Product Description
    • 3M Hookit Disc is easy to change and reuse, maximizing utility for the life of the disc
    • Aluminum oxide abrasive offers a fast cut and long life, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Durable film backing is tear-resistant and provides a close-tolerance, consistent finish
    • Open coat construction helps reduce loading and provides a more aggressive cut
    • Suitable for sanding and finishing on composites, gel coats, fiberglass, and other solid surface materials
The 3M Hookit Film Disc 360L features an aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing for effective fine sanding on plastics, gel coats and polyurethane solid surface substrates. The sturdy film backing gives the durability needed for a high-production environment, and its excellent resistance to edge tearing provides longer life over discs with standard A-weight paper backings.

The film backing gives you a close-tolerance, consistent finish, making it a good choice for applications such as spot repairs, sanding plastic parts, paint feathering on defects, or sanding automotive primer.

To help reduce loading on the disc, we designed an open coat construction without a load-resistant stearate coating. Our convenient 3M Hookit hook-and-loop attachment on the backing enables easy re-use so the disc can be used again and again for the life of the product, and attaches to our low-profile 3M Hookit Disc Pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. Our Film Disc 360L comes in a range of grades for various applications from fine sanding to finishing.

Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

At 3M we offer a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life

    Trusted 3M Hookit Brand

The 3M Hookit Film Disc 360L is a reliable choice for professionals who need consistent performance. This model features the trusted 3M Hookit system, known for easy disc changes and reusability, which helps maximize the disc’s lifespan.

Designed for demanding tasks, the 360L model supports various sanding needs with its hook-and-loop attachment. This system works well with 3M Hookit Disc Pads, making it a versatile option for many users.

    Precise 6 Inch Size

This sanding disc comes in a 6 inch diameter, providing a balanced surface area for efficient sanding. The size is ideal for random orbital sanders, offering good control and coverage on different materials.

With a 6 inch x NH dimension, it fits standard backing pads, making it easy to swap discs during projects. This size supports detailed work as well as broader surface preparation.

    Durable P220 Grade Abrasive

The P220 grade of this 3M Hookit Film Disc 360L offers fine sanding capabilities. It’s suitable for finishing tasks where a smooth, consistent surface is needed, such as paint feathering or spot repairs.

Using aluminum oxide abrasive, the P220 grade ensures a fast cut and long life. This makes it effective on composites, gel coats, and solid surface materials, maintaining quality through extended use.

    Advanced Film Disc Format

The disc uses a durable film backing that resists tearing and provides a consistent finish. This film format outperforms traditional paper backings by offering better edge durability and close tolerance results.

Its open coat construction reduces loading, allowing for a more aggressive cut without clogging. This format is perfect for sanding plastics, fiberglass, and automotive primers with precision.

    Large Pack Count Convenience

Available in a pack of 100 discs per carton and 500 discs per case, this product supports high-volume sanding needs. The large pack count ensures you have enough discs for extended projects or multiple jobs.

Having 100 discs per carton means less frequent reordering and better cost efficiency. This quantity suits professional workshops and industrial environments where consistent supply is critical.
