  • Product Description
    • 3M Hookit Disc is easy to change and reuse, maximizing utility for the life of the disc
    • Aluminum oxide abrasive offers a fast cut and long life, and performs well on many surfaces
    • Durable film backing is tear-resistant and provides a close-tolerance, consistent finish
    • Open coat construction helps reduce loading and provides a more aggressive cut
    • Suitable for sanding and finishing on composites, gel coats, fiberglass, and other solid surface materials
The 3M Hookit Film Disc 360L features an aluminum oxide abrasive grain on a film backing for effective fine sanding on plastics, gel coats and polyurethane solid surface substrates. The sturdy film backing gives the durability needed for a high-production environment, and its excellent resistance to edge tearing provides longer life over discs with standard A-weight paper backings.

The film backing gives you a close-tolerance, consistent finish, making it a good choice for applications such as spot repairs, sanding plastic parts, paint feathering on defects, or sanding automotive primer.

To help reduce loading on the disc, we designed an open coat construction without a load-resistant stearate coating. Our convenient 3M Hookit hook-and-loop attachment on the backing enables easy re-use so the disc can be used again and again for the life of the product, and attaches to our low-profile 3M Hookit Disc Pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. Our Film Disc 360L comes in a range of grades for various applications from fine sanding to finishing.

Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness, and strength, it is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.

At 3M we offer a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently and firmly attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander, can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life

    Trusted 3M Hookit Quality

The 3M Hookit Film Disc 360L offers reliable performance with the trusted 3M brand. This model features the Hookit system, making disc changes quick and easy while allowing reuse to maximize the disc's life. Its design supports efficient sanding tasks without frequent replacements.

Ideal for professionals, the 360L model combines convenience with durability. The hook-and-loop attachment fits securely on compatible pads, ensuring steady operation during sanding. This system suits various applications, from automotive to industrial use.

    Precise P1000 Grade Finish

This product comes in the P1000 grade, perfect for fine sanding and finishing tasks. The grade ensures a smooth, consistent finish on surfaces, making it suitable for detailed work like paint feathering or spot repairs. It balances cutting speed with surface quality.

Users can rely on this grade for work on composites, gel coats, and solid surface materials. The P1000 grit helps achieve a refined surface without over-sanding, which is essential for maintaining material integrity and appearance.

    Durable 5 Inch Size

The disc measures 5 inches in diameter, a common size that fits many random orbital sanders. This size offers a good balance between coverage and control, allowing users to work efficiently on various surface areas without sacrificing precision.

Its 5-inch dimension makes it compatible with standard sanding equipment, simplifying tool setup. This size is versatile for both small detail work and larger surface preparation, enhancing productivity across projects.

    Reliable NH Backing Format

The disc uses the NH backing format, designed for secure attachment and easy removal. This backing supports the Hookit system, ensuring the disc stays firmly in place during use while allowing quick changes when needed.

NH backing also contributes to the disc's tear resistance and durability. This format helps maintain consistent sanding performance, reducing downtime caused by disc failures or misalignment.

    Convenient 500 Pack Count

Available in a pack of 500 discs per case, this product suits high-volume users and industrial settings. The large quantity ensures a steady supply, reducing the need for frequent reordering and supporting continuous work flow.

Each carton contains 100 discs, making it easy to manage inventory and distribute supplies across teams. This pack size is practical for businesses that require reliable sanding materials on a regular basis.
