About Our Hookit Attachment System
The Hookit hook-and-loop feature makes disc attachment, removal, and re-attachment clean and easy, and facilitates use and re-use of the disc for the full extent of its abrasive life. Hookit disc pads have J-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. Hookit disc pads grip the brushed nylon loop backings of 3M Hookit discs and provide a finer finish than do adhesive backed discs. The Hookit system is designed for work spaces and applications where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust, dirt, or flying debris.Better Ways to Sand from 3M
Our Hookit Abrasive Disc Pad showcases many of our technologies for better auto body projects, from the material to the taper to the density to the attachment system. Auto body professionals can get the most out of their sanding projects and their operations.Trusted 3M Hookit Quality
The 3M Hookit Disc Pad Dust Free, model 05781, offers reliable performance for auto body work. This pad features the Hookit attachment system, making disc changes quick and easy while extending abrasive disc life.
Designed specifically for 3M Hookit discs, this pad ensures a secure grip and a cleaner finish compared to adhesive-backed discs. It’s a smart choice for professionals who want consistent results with the trusted 3M brand.
Optimal 8 Inch Size
This disc pad measures 8 inches in diameter, providing ample surface area for efficient sanding. The size is ideal for a variety of auto body projects, from shaping fillers to paint stripping and primer sanding.
Its medium density foam construction supports the abrasive discs while offering flexibility. This balance helps you sand flat or contoured surfaces smoothly, making the 8-inch pad versatile for many tasks.
Effective Dust Free Design
The dust free design of the 3M Hookit Disc Pad helps keep your workspace cleaner and reduces airborne particles. This feature is especially useful in auto body shops where dust control is important for quality finishes.
By minimizing dust, the pad also helps maintain the abrasive disc’s effectiveness longer. This means less frequent disc changes and more efficient sanding sessions overall.
Single Pad Per Case
This product comes as one pad per case, making it easy to order exactly what you need without excess. The single pack option suits professionals who want to test the pad or keep a small stock on hand.
Having one pad per case also simplifies inventory management and reduces waste. It’s a practical choice for shops that prefer to buy in smaller quantities or replace pads individually.
Versatile Hookit Attachment System
The Hookit attachment system on this 3M pad uses J-shaped hooks that securely hold the abrasive discs. This system supports quick disc changes and helps maximize the life of both the pad and discs.
Compatible with various sanding equipment, the pad fits well with tools like Chicago Pneumatic 777 and Dynabrade Model 57700. This versatility makes it a flexible option for different sanding needs.
