  • Product Description
    • *U.S. EPA specifies the NRR as the measure of hearing protector noise reduction. However, 3M makes no warranties as to the suitability of the NRR for this purpose. 3M strongly recommends personal fit testing of hearing protectors. Research suggests that users may receive less noise reduction than indicated by the attenuation label value(s) on the packaging due to variation in fit, fitting skill, and motivation of the user. Refer to applicable regulations or guidance on how to adjust attenuation label values. It is recommended that the NRR be reduced by 50% to better estimate typical protection.
    • CSA Class AL
    • Compatible with the 3M E-A-Rfit Validation System
    • Dispenser packaging option available for uncorded earplugs
    • Features a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR)* of 29 dB
    • Moisture-resistant foam

    • Proprietary soft, slow-recovery foam is comfortable and helps with earplug fitting
3M E-A-R Classic Earplugs have set the industry standard for noise reduction as the world's first foam earplugs. These earplugs are made of a proprietary soft energy-absorbing slow-recovery foam that's designed to conform to the shape of the ear canal to help provide hearing protection. This earplug's moisture resistant foam is initially firm to make fitting the earplug easier, softening once it’s in the ear to comfortably expand and conform to the shape of each ear canal. The slow recovery feature helps with earplug insertion by giving the user time to get the compressed foam cylinder (rolled down earplug) into the ear before the foam fully expands. Per-pair packaging options include a pillow pack that can be used to store earplugs between uses or a standard polybag; dispenser bottles for One Touch Pro dispenser are also available. Comes with or without cord to suit user preference. This product is EARfit testable to help validate the level of protection the individual user can achieve with this product.

    Trusted 3M E-A-R Classic

The 3M E-A-R Classic Earplugs 311-1106 are a reliable choice for hearing protection. This model is known for its proprietary soft, slow-recovery foam that conforms comfortably to the ear canal, providing effective noise reduction.

These earplugs have set the industry standard as the world's first foam earplugs, combining comfort with proven performance. The corded design adds convenience for users who prefer to keep their earplugs attached.

    Small Size Comfort Fit

Designed in a small size, these earplugs fit snugly and comfortably in smaller ear canals. The foam is initially firm to ease insertion, then softens to expand and seal the ear canal effectively.

This size option ensures users with smaller ears receive proper protection without discomfort. The slow recovery foam also helps users insert the earplugs easily before they fully expand.

    High Noise Reduction Rating

These earplugs feature a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 29 dB, offering strong protection against loud environments. This rating helps reduce noise exposure to safer levels for hearing health.

While the NRR is a useful guide, 3M recommends personal fit testing to ensure optimal protection. The corded design helps keep the earplugs handy for repeated use in noisy settings.

    Convenient Poly Bag Packaging

The earplugs come packaged in a poly bag format, making them easy to distribute and store. This packaging option helps keep the earplugs clean and ready for use when needed.

With 2000 pairs per case, this bulk packaging suits workplaces or environments requiring large quantities. The poly bag format supports efficient handling and storage.

    Compatible Fit Validation System

The 3M E-A-R Classic Earplugs 311-1106 are compatible with the 3M E-A-Rfit Validation System. This technology helps users verify the fit and protection level of their earplugs.

Using the E-A-Rfit system ensures that individuals achieve the best possible noise reduction. This feature supports safety compliance and personalized hearing protection.
