These discs are ideal for a broad range of applications focused primarily on stock removal, and are effective on a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing offers greater tear resistance than paper discs, for additional durability and edge retention. For best results, pair with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
Our 3M™ Stikit™ system eliminates the time-consuming task of applying adhesive to the disc backing. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so that attaching them to your disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker. And because the adhesive is pressure sensitive, the disc can be peeled off of the disc pad just as easily, leaving a clean surface for your next disc. A Stikit™ disc must be pressed onto a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
3M Cubitron II Model
The 3M Cubitron II Stikit Film Disc Roll 775L is a trusted choice for professionals needing reliable abrasive discs. This model features the 3M Stikit attachment system, which makes changing discs fast and easy, saving valuable time on the job.
Designed with 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain technology, the 775L cuts up to twice as fast as conventional abrasives. This ensures efficient stock removal and long-lasting performance for demanding tasks.
Grade 80+ Abrasive Power
This product comes in an 80+ grade, providing a balance of aggressive cutting and smooth finish. The grade is ideal for a wide variety of substrates, including metals and composites, making it versatile for many applications.
With the 80+ grade, users can expect consistent performance in stock removal tasks. The abrasive quality helps maintain edge retention and durability throughout extended use.
Durable Film Backing Features
The 6 inch by NH film backing on these discs offers greater tear resistance compared to paper discs. This backing enhances durability and helps maintain edge retention during tough sanding jobs.
Film backing also supports the disc’s ability to withstand rough handling and repeated use. It’s especially useful when working on substrates like gelcoat and whitewood, where durability matters.
Roll Format And Quantity
Each roll contains 100 discs, and the product is sold as 4 rolls per case. This format is convenient for high-volume users who need a steady supply of abrasive discs ready for use.
The roll format paired with the Stikit system allows for quick disc changes and less downtime. Having 400 discs per case ensures you’re well-stocked for extended projects.
Stikit Attachment System
The Stikit system uses a pressure-sensitive adhesive on the disc’s backside, making it easy to attach and remove discs from the backup pad. This eliminates the need for messy adhesives and speeds up disc changes.
Because the adhesive is pressure sensitive, discs peel off cleanly, leaving the backup pad ready for the next disc. This system works with disc pads sold separately and fits various sanders for flexible use.
