- Revolutionary 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology provides fast cut and long life
These discs are ideal for a broad range of applications focused primarily on stock removal, and are effective on a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing offers greater tear resistance than paper discs, for additional durability and edge retention. For best results, pair with 3M™ Elite Random Orbital Sanders.
Our 3M™ Stikit™ system eliminates the time-consuming task of applying adhesive to the disc backing. These high-quality, coated abrasive products come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so that attaching them to your disc pad is as simple as pressing on a sticker. And because the adhesive is pressure sensitive, the disc can be peeled off of the disc pad just as easily, leaving a clean surface for your next disc. A Stikit™ disc must be pressed onto a Stikit backup pad (also called a disc pad and sold separately) that is attached to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander.
3M Cubitron II Model
The 3M Cubitron II Stikit Film Disc Roll 775L is designed for fast and easy disc changes thanks to the Stikit attachment system. This model features 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain technology, which cuts up to twice as fast as conventional abrasives.
Its unique triangular shaped ceramic mineral slices through materials instead of gouging, providing longer life and efficient stock removal. This makes the 775L model ideal for demanding sanding tasks.
Grade And Backing Details
The discs come in a 400+ grade, ensuring effective abrasion for a wide range of applications. They feature a film backing that offers greater tear resistance and edge retention compared to paper discs.
This durable film backing helps maintain disc integrity during use, making the 775L discs suitable for metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood substrates.
Disc Size And Format
Each disc measures 5 inches in diameter with a NH (non-hole) format, designed to fit specific sanding tools. The Stikit system allows discs to be quickly attached and removed from compatible backup pads.
This size and format combination makes the discs versatile for use with random orbital sanders, disc sanders, and stationary disc sanders, enhancing productivity on various projects.
Roll And Case Packaging
The product is supplied as 100 discs per roll, with 4 rolls included per case. This packaging ensures a steady supply of discs for continuous work without frequent reordering.
Having 400 discs in total per case supports large-scale operations or extended projects, reducing downtime and improving workflow efficiency.
Fast Cutting Performance
The 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology in the 775L discs enables fast cutting and long life, making them twice as fast as conventional abrasives. This results in quicker stock removal and less frequent disc changes.
Ideal for stock removal tasks, these discs perform well on a variety of substrates, helping users complete jobs faster while maintaining high-quality finishes.
