  • Product Description
    • Cuts up to 2x as fast as conventional abrasives
    • Film backing for greater tear resistance and edge retention
    • Hook and loop attachment makes disc changes fast and easy
    • Ideal for a wide variety of substrates and applications focused primarily on stock removal
    • Revolutionary 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology provides fast cut and long life
3M Cubitron II Hookit Film Disc 775L features 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or “plowing” like conventional abrasives, resulting in a disc that cuts up to 2x as fast and lasts up to 6x as long as conventional abrasives.

These discs are ideal for a broad range of applications focused primarily on stock removal, and are effective on a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing offers greater tear resistance than paper discs, for additional durability and edge retention. For best results, pair with 3M Elite Random Orbital Sanders.

We offer a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.

    3M Cubitron II Brand

The 3M Cubitron II Hookit Film Disc 775L is a trusted choice for professionals who need reliable abrasives. This model features the 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology, which enhances cutting speed and disc life compared to conventional abrasives.

Using this brand means you get a product designed for fast, efficient stock removal. The 775L grade ensures consistent performance across various materials, making it a versatile option for many tasks.

    Fast Cutting Grade 220+

The disc’s 220+ grade offers a balance between aggressive cutting and fine finishing. It cuts up to twice as fast as traditional abrasives, helping you complete jobs quicker without sacrificing quality.

This grade is ideal for applications requiring precision and speed, especially when paired with 3M Elite Random Orbital Sanders. It works well on metals, composites, and other substrates.

    Durable Film Backing

Featuring a film backing, this disc provides greater tear resistance and edge retention than paper-backed alternatives. This durability means fewer disc replacements and less downtime during projects.

The film backing also supports the hook and loop attachment system, making disc changes fast and easy. This backing is designed to withstand tough working conditions and maintain performance.

    Hookit Attachment System

The Hookit system allows for quick disc changes without adhesive residue. This makes it convenient for workspaces where dust or dirt can contaminate adhesive discs, ensuring a clean and reusable setup.

Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive-backed discs, making them suitable for applications where a smoother surface is desired. The discs attach securely to hook-and-loop backup pads sold separately.

    Size And Pack Count

This product comes in a 5 inch diameter with a NH arbor size, fitting many standard tools. The die 500X format ensures compatibility with specific sanding equipment for consistent results.

Each carton contains 50 discs, and the case includes 250 discs total. This pack size supports large projects or ongoing work, reducing the need for frequent reordering.
