  • Product Description
    • Cuts up to 2x as fast as conventional abrasives
    • Film backing for greater tear resistance and edge retention
    • Hook and loop attachment makes disc changes fast and easy

    • Revolutionary 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology provides fast cut and long life
3M Cubitron II Hookit Film Disc 775L features 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or “plowing” like conventional abrasives, resulting in a disc that cuts up to 2x as fast and lasts up to 6x as long as conventional abrasives.

These discs are ideal for a broad range of applications focused primarily on stock removal, and are effective on a wide variety of substrates, including metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood. The film backing offers greater tear resistance than paper discs, for additional durability and edge retention. For best results, pair with 3M Elite Random Orbital Sanders.

We offer a complete line of hook-and-loop style 3M Hookit discs for work spaces where adhesive backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. They are often used in applications where a 3M Stikit disc may be too aggressive, as Hookit discs tend to leave finer finishes than adhesive backed discs. Hookit sanding discs conveniently attach to a hook-and-loop backup disc pad (sold separately), can be removed cleanly and easily, and can be re-used again and again for the extent of the abrasive life.

    3M Cubitron II Precision

The 3M Cubitron II Hookit Film Disc 775L is designed for fast, efficient cutting. This model features 3M Precision Shaped Grain technology, which slices through materials rather than gouging, allowing it to cut up to twice as fast as conventional abrasives.

With this technology, the disc also lasts longer, making it a reliable choice for demanding tasks. The 775L grade ensures consistent performance across various applications.

    Durable Film Backing Benefits

This disc uses a film backing instead of paper, providing greater tear resistance and better edge retention. The film backing helps maintain the disc’s shape and durability during heavy use, reducing downtime and replacement frequency.

Thanks to this backing, the 5 inch x NH size disc stays intact longer, making it ideal for tough stock removal jobs where durability is key.

    Hookit Attachment System

The Hookit system on these discs allows for quick and easy changes. This hook and loop attachment means you can swap discs rapidly without adhesive residue or mess, saving time during projects.

It also supports reusability, as the discs can be removed cleanly and reused multiple times throughout their life. This system is especially useful in busy workspaces where efficiency matters.

    Wide Application Versatility

The 3M Cubitron II 775L discs are suitable for a broad range of substrates and applications, focusing primarily on stock removal. They work well on metals, composites, gelcoat, and whitewood, making them versatile for many industries.

This versatility is enhanced by the 150+ grade, which balances aggressive cutting with a fine finish, meeting the needs of various surface preparation tasks.

    Pack Size Convenience

These discs come in a case of 250, organized as 50 discs per carton. This bulk packaging supports large-scale projects and reduces the need for frequent reordering.

Having a substantial pack count on hand ensures you won’t run out during critical jobs, and the consistent size of 5 in x NH fits standard backup pads for easy integration.
