3M Cloth Belt 707E uses a 3M Ceramic Aluminum Oxide Abrasives blend and is designed for light to moderate-pressure stock removal and finishing operations when you need a conformable belt for contoured surfaces. The belt is constructed with a blend of 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain and premium aluminum oxide to offer more durability and cutting efficiency over non-ceramic abrasives.

3M Cloth Belt 707E is constructed with a blend of 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain and premium aluminum oxide to give you increased durability and cutting efficiency over non-ceramic abrasives. We back it with a flexible rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts. Flexibility also makes this belt a good choice when using a soft contact wheel or slack of belt. It can be used wet or dry.

Choose this belt for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, we incorporated a grinding aid to help reduce running temperatures. Additionally, the abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure.

3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain is a ceramic mineral designed using our proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. For increased performance, 707E products feature aluminum oxide blended with 3M ceramic grain for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal, ceramic abrasives are engineered to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress applications. Ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability and makes 3M Cloth Belt 707E an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation.

Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of belt sanding tools for many different metalworking applications. At 3M we offer a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Wider belts are designed for wide belt sanders for flat finishing—to smooth rough cut edges of metal sheets, or add a grain pattern to stainless steel sheets. Medium-width belts are generally used on a backstand for weld removal or on a feed -thru style flat finisher for imparting a finish on sheets or coils. Narrow belts can be used on backstands for grinding and finishing, or on file tools for finishing in right angle corners.

    Trusted 3M Cloth Belt

The 3M Cloth Belt 707E offers reliable performance with its proven brand and model. This belt is designed to meet demanding metalworking needs, ensuring consistent results every time you use it.

Its P220 JE-weight grade provides the right balance for light to moderate stock removal and finishing tasks. This makes it a versatile choice for many workshop applications.

    Precise Size And Dimensions

This belt measures 2 inches by 132 inches, making it suitable for a variety of belt sanding tools. Its length and width allow it to fit many industrial sanders for both flat and contoured surfaces.

With these exact dimensions, the belt can handle detailed work on contoured parts while still covering enough surface area for efficient stock removal and finishing.

    Advanced Film-lok Technology

The Film-lok system in this belt ensures the abrasive stays firmly attached to the backing. This technology helps maintain durability and performance even under high heat and pressure conditions.

Film-lok also supports the belt’s flexibility, allowing it to conform to contoured parts and deliver consistent finishing results on complex shapes.

    Flexible Single-flex Backing

The belt features a single-flex backing made from flexible rayon cloth. This backing easily wraps around parts and follows contours, which is essential for finishing irregular surfaces smoothly.

Its flexibility also makes it a good match for soft contact wheels or slack belt applications, enhancing its versatility in various metalworking tasks.

    Convenient Case Pack Count

This product comes as a case of 50 belts, providing a large supply for continuous use. Buying in bulk helps reduce downtime and ensures you always have belts ready for your projects.

Having 50 belts on hand is ideal for workshops that require frequent belt changes, especially when working on stainless steel, titanium, or carbon steel parts.
