3M Cloth Belt 707E uses a 3M Ceramic Aluminum Oxide Abrasives blend and is designed for light to moderate-pressure stock removal and finishing operations when you need a conformable belt for contoured surfaces. The belt is constructed with a blend of 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain and premium aluminum oxide to offer more durability and cutting efficiency over non-ceramic abrasives.

3M Cloth Belt 707E is constructed with a blend of 3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain and premium aluminum oxide to give you increased durability and cutting efficiency over non-ceramic abrasives. We back it with a flexible rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts. Flexibility also makes this belt a good choice when using a soft contact wheel or slack of belt. It can be used wet or dry.

Choose this belt for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, we incorporated a grinding aid to help reduce running temperatures. Additionally, the abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure.

3M Ceramic Abrasive Grain is a ceramic mineral designed using our proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness of the grain. For increased performance, 707E products feature aluminum oxide blended with 3M ceramic grain for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal, ceramic abrasives are engineered to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress applications. Ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability and makes 3M Cloth Belt 707E an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation.

Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of belt sanding tools for many different metalworking applications. At 3M we offer a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Wider belts are designed for wide belt sanders for flat finishing—to smooth rough cut edges of metal sheets, or add a grain pattern to stainless steel sheets. Medium-width belts are generally used on a backstand for weld removal or on a feed -thru style flat finisher for imparting a finish on sheets or coils. Narrow belts can be used on backstands for grinding and finishing, or on file tools for finishing in right angle corners.

    Trusted 3M Cloth Belt

The 3M Cloth Belt 707E combines the trusted 3M brand with a specific model designed for reliable performance. This belt uses a 3M Ceramic Aluminum Oxide Abrasives blend that outperforms standard aluminum oxide belts in durability and cutting efficiency.

Ideal for light to moderate-pressure stock removal, this belt supports blending and scratch refinement tasks. Its construction ensures fewer belt changes and more parts produced per belt, making it a dependable choice for various metalworking jobs.

    Precise Grade And Weight

This belt features an 80 JE-weight grade, balancing flexibility and strength for effective finishing. The JE-weight backing offers a good mix of durability and conformability, suitable for detailed work on contoured surfaces.

With this grade, the belt handles moderate stock removal and surface preparation well, making it suitable for tasks like deburring and blending on metals such as stainless steel and titanium.

    Exact Dimensions Matter

The belt measures 3 inches by 132 inches, a size that fits many industrial belt sanders. This dimension allows it to cover a broad range of applications, from flat finishing to contour sanding on complex parts.

Its length and width make it versatile for use on backstands, feed-thru flat finishers, and file tools, ensuring consistent finishing across different metalworking setups.

    Film-lok Single-flex Technology

The Film-lok, Single-flex format enhances the belt’s flexibility and durability. This technology allows the belt to conform easily to contoured parts, providing consistent finishing results even on irregular surfaces.

Its flexible rayon backing supports use with soft contact wheels or slack belts, and the resin bond resists heat deterioration, extending the belt’s life during demanding operations.

    Convenient Case Pack Count

This product comes as a case of 50 belts, offering a practical supply for industrial or high-volume use. Having a large pack count reduces downtime and ensures you have belts ready when needed.

The case quantity suits shops that require frequent belt changes or multiple sanding stations, making it easier to maintain workflow without interruption.
