3M Cloth Belt 361F comes with fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded to heavy polyester cloth backing. Its durable, heat-resistant resin supports both wet and dry applications. Grades of P100 and lower are backed with YF-weight polyester, and grades higher than P100 are backed with slightly less stiff XF-weight polyester.
Aluminum oxide mineral is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate, durability, and long life. It can be used on a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys, and is the most commonly used industrial abrasive. The abrasive particles are adhered to the cloth backing with resin, creating a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure.
Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of belt sanding tools for many different metalworking applications. At 3M we offer a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Wider belts are designed for wide belt sanders for flat finishing—to smooth rough cut edges of metal sheets, or add a grain pattern to stainless steel sheets. Medium-width belts are generally used on a backstand for weld removal or on a feed -thru style flat finisher for imparting a finish on sheets or coils. Narrow belts can be used on backstands for grinding and finishing, or on file tools for finishing in right angle corners.
Trusted 3M Cloth Belt
The 3M Cloth Belt 361F offers reliable performance with its well-known brand and model. This belt is designed to meet industrial standards, ensuring consistent results for grinding and finishing tasks. Its reputation makes it a preferred choice for professionals.

Durable YF-weight Backing
The belt features an 80 YF-weight polyester backing, providing toughness and consistent results under medium pressure. This backing supports the abrasive grains effectively, ensuring the belt holds up during demanding applications.
This YF-weight backing is ideal for grinding sheets and coils, especially in centerless and backstand applications. It helps maintain belt integrity while delivering smooth finishes on metals.
Precise 37 Inch Size
Measuring 37 inches by 60 inches, this belt fits a variety of belt sanding tools. Its size is optimized for both wide and medium-width sanders, allowing for efficient surface finishing and edge smoothing.
The dimensions make it suitable for flat finishing tasks on metal sheets and coils. This size also supports flexibility in different sanding setups, enhancing its usability across projects.
Film-lok Single-flex Technology
The Film-lok and Single-flex format technologies improve the belt’s flexibility and durability. These features allow the belt to bend and conform to surfaces without cracking or losing abrasive effectiveness.
This technology is especially useful for stainless steel coil finishing, where flexibility and heat resistance are crucial. It ensures the belt performs well under both wet and dry conditions.
Convenient Case Pack
This product comes as a case of 2 belts, providing a practical supply for ongoing work. Having two belts on hand reduces downtime and keeps your workflow steady.
The pack count supports continuous use in industrial settings, making it easier to replace belts as needed without frequent reordering. It’s a cost-effective choice for professionals.
