3M Cloth Belt 341D is a durable aluminum oxide cloth belt recommended for your metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. It is suitable for wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding, and can be used for a variety of applications on metal substrates and wood.

3M Cloth Belt 341D comes with fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing to provide you with continuous cut and long-life performance necessary for more aggressive dry sanding applications. For finishing on metal, the closed coat construction offers a consistent, fine finish, and is suitable for producing a grain pattern. This belt should not be run wet.

Aluminum oxide mineral is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate, durability, and long life. It can be used on a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys, and is the most commonly used industrial abrasive. The abrasive particles are adhered to the cloth backing with resin, creating a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure.

Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of different belt sanding tools for many different applications on both wood and metal. At 3M we offer a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Wider belts are used with wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels, smooth rough cut edges of metal sheets, or add a grain pattern to stainless steel sheets. Medium-width belts fit onto edge sanders for sanding flat, narrow surfaces such as panel edges; and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces such as cabinet doors.

Belts come with various splices that join the belt ends. A film media splice achieves a secure bond with a joining film that minimizes chatter marks, ensures a smooth running belt, and produces consistent finishing results. A sine wave splice is constructed of interlocking fingers that enable the splice to travel smoothly over contact wheels, reduce hinging, and provide added strength to the joint area. Sine wave splices are typically used for coarser grades and wide belts.

    Trusted 3M Cloth Belt

The 3M Cloth Belt 341D offers reliable performance with its aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. This tough abrasive cuts fast and works well on many materials, making it a trusted choice for metal deburring and woodworking. The model 341D is designed for durability and efficiency.

Its resin bond withstands high heat and pressure, ensuring long-lasting use. This belt is ideal for professionals needing consistent results in demanding sanding tasks, thanks to 3M’s proven quality and engineering.

    Precise P120 X-weight Grade

The P120 X-weight grade provides a balanced cut rate and finish quality. This grade is suitable for aggressive dry sanding applications, offering continuous cut and long life. It’s perfect for users who want a fine finish on metal surfaces.

With the X-weight cloth backing, the belt resists heavy sanding and grinding wear. This backing supports the abrasive grains and maintains belt integrity during tough jobs, ensuring consistent performance over time.

    Exact 2 Inch Size

The belt measures 2 inches by 36 inches, fitting many portable and edge belt sanders. This size is versatile for sanding narrow surfaces, edges, and small wood pieces like cabinet doors. It’s a practical dimension for detailed work.

Its tube-shaped design fits inner and outer contours, helping remove parting lines, burrs, and imperfections. This makes the 2 in x 36 in belt especially useful for precision metalworking and woodworking tasks.

    Film-lok Splice Technology

The Film-lok splice ensures a secure bond between belt ends, minimizing chatter marks during sanding. This technology helps the belt run smoothly and produces consistent finishing results, which is important for professional-grade work.

This splice type reduces vibration and wear on the belt, extending its life. It’s designed for use with die grinders or rotary drills when paired with a rubber expander wheel attachment, sold separately.

    Convenient Case Pack

This product comes as a case of 50 belts, providing excellent value and readiness for large projects. Having a full case ensures you won’t run out during critical sanding jobs, keeping your workflow uninterrupted.

Bulk packaging is ideal for industrial or workshop settings where frequent belt changes are needed. The case format supports efficient inventory management and cost savings.
