3M Cloth Belt 341D comes with fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing to provide you with continuous cut and long-life performance necessary for more aggressive dry sanding applications. For finishing on metal, the closed coat construction offers a consistent, fine finish, and is suitable for producing a grain pattern. This belt should not be run wet.

Aluminum oxide mineral is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate, durability, and long life. It can be used on a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys, and is the most commonly used industrial abrasive. The abrasive particles are adhered to the cloth backing with resin, creating a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure.

Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of different belt sanding tools for many different applications on both wood and metal. At 3M we offer a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Wider belts are used with wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels, smooth rough cut edges of metal sheets, or add a grain pattern to stainless steel sheets. Medium-width belts fit onto edge sanders for sanding flat, narrow surfaces such as panel edges; and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces such as cabinet doors.

Belts come with various splices that join the belt ends. A film media splice achieves a secure bond with a joining film that minimizes chatter marks, ensures a smooth running belt, and produces consistent finishing results. A sine wave splice is constructed of interlocking fingers that enable the splice to travel smoothly over contact wheels, reduce hinging, and provide added strength to the joint area. Sine wave splices are typically used for coarser grades and wide belts.

    Trusted 3M Cloth Belt

The 3M Cloth Belt 341D offers reliable performance with its aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. This belt is designed to handle tough sanding tasks while maintaining durability. The exact model 341D ensures you get consistent quality for your projects.

Ideal for metal deburring and woodworking, this belt fits onto various sanding tools. Its resin bond withstands high heat and pressure, making it suitable for demanding applications where lasting performance is key.

    Durable X-weight Backing

The belt features an 80 X-weight cloth backing, which stands up to heavy sanding and grinding. This backing provides strength and flexibility, allowing the belt to conform to different surfaces without tearing.

Thanks to this tough backing, the belt works well on both metal and wood substrates. It’s a dependable choice for professionals needing a belt that won’t wear out quickly during aggressive sanding.

    Precise 6 Inch Dimensions

Measuring 6 inches by 48 inches, this belt fits a variety of belt sanding tools. Its size makes it versatile for wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanders, covering many sanding needs.

The dimensions allow the belt to handle both broad surfaces and narrow edges effectively. This size balance helps users achieve smooth finishes and detailed sanding on different materials.

    Film-lok Splice Technology

The belt uses Film-lok splice technology, which secures the belt ends with a joining film. This splice reduces chatter marks and ensures smooth running during sanding operations.

Film-lok splices help maintain consistent finishing results by minimizing disruptions on the belt surface. This technology is especially useful for applications requiring a fine, even finish.

    Convenient Case Pack Count

This product comes as a case of 20 belts, providing ample supply for ongoing projects. Buying in bulk helps reduce downtime and ensures you have replacements ready when needed.

Having 20 belts on hand is practical for workshops or job sites with frequent sanding tasks. It supports continuous work without frequent reordering or interruptions.
