3M Cloth Belt 341D is a durable aluminum oxide cloth belt recommended for your metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. It is suitable for wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding, and can be used for a variety of applications on metal substrates and wood.

3M Cloth Belt 341D comes with fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing to provide you with continuous cut and long-life performance necessary for more aggressive dry sanding applications. For finishing on metal, the closed coat construction offers a consistent, fine finish, and is suitable for producing a grain pattern. This belt should not be run wet.

Aluminum oxide mineral is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate, durability, and long life. It can be used on a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys, and is the most commonly used industrial abrasive. The abrasive particles are adhered to the cloth backing with resin, creating a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure.

Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of different belt sanding tools for many different applications on both wood and metal. At 3M we offer a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Wider belts are used with wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels, smooth rough cut edges of metal sheets, or add a grain pattern to stainless steel sheets. Medium-width belts fit onto edge sanders for sanding flat, narrow surfaces such as panel edges; and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces such as cabinet doors.

Belts come with various splices that join the belt ends. A film media splice achieves a secure bond with a joining film that minimizes chatter marks, ensures a smooth running belt, and produces consistent finishing results. A sine wave splice is constructed of interlocking fingers that enable the splice to travel smoothly over contact wheels, reduce hinging, and provide added strength to the joint area. Sine wave splices are typically used for coarser grades and wide belts.

    Trusted 3M Cloth Belt

The 3M Cloth Belt 341D is designed for durability and performance. This belt features tough aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded to an X-weight cloth backing, ensuring it withstands heavy sanding and grinding tasks.

Its resin bond resists high heat and pressure, making it ideal for demanding applications. The single-flex design allows it to fit various sanding tools, providing versatility for metalworking and woodworking projects.

    Precise 80 X-weight Grade

This belt comes in an 80 X-weight grade, offering a balance between aggressive cutting and smooth finishing. The aluminum oxide mineral cuts fast and performs well on many substrates, including ferrous alloys and wood.

Its closed coat construction helps produce a consistent fine finish, making it suitable for metal finishing and creating grain patterns. This grade is perfect for both deburring and general metalworking tasks.

    Optimal 25 Inch Size

The belt measures 25 inches by 60 inches, fitting a variety of belt sanding tools. This size is common for wide belt sanders, edge sanders, and portable belt sanders, allowing for flexible use across different applications.

Its tube-shaped band design conforms to inner and outer contours, effectively removing parting lines, imperfections, and burrs. This makes it a practical choice for detailed sanding work on metal and wood surfaces.

    Advanced Film-lok Technology

Featuring Film-lok technology, the belt uses a film media splice that creates a secure bond between ends. This splice minimizes chatter marks and ensures smooth running, which leads to consistent finishing results.

This technology enhances belt longevity and performance, especially during aggressive dry sanding. It’s a reliable choice for professionals seeking quality and efficiency in their sanding tools.

    Convenient Case Pack

The product comes as a case of 3 belts, providing enough supply for extended projects or multiple users. This pack size supports continuous work without frequent reordering, saving time and effort.

Having multiple belts on hand is useful for various sanding tasks, whether in metal deburring, woodworking, or general metalworking. It ensures you’re always ready to maintain productivity.
