3M Cloth Belt 341D is a durable aluminum oxide cloth belt recommended for your metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. It is suitable for wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding, and can be used for a variety of applications on metal substrates and wood.

3M Cloth Belt 341D comes with fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing to provide you with continuous cut and long-life performance necessary for more aggressive dry sanding applications. For finishing on metal, the closed coat construction offers a consistent, fine finish, and is suitable for producing a grain pattern. This belt should not be run wet.

Aluminum oxide mineral is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate, durability, and long life. It can be used on a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys, and is the most commonly used industrial abrasive. The abrasive particles are adhered to the cloth backing with resin, creating a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure.

Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of different belt sanding tools for many different applications on both wood and metal. At 3M we offer a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Wider belts are used with wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels, smooth rough cut edges of metal sheets, or add a grain pattern to stainless steel sheets. Medium-width belts fit onto edge sanders for sanding flat, narrow surfaces such as panel edges; and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces such as cabinet doors.

Belts come with various splices that join the belt ends. A film media splice achieves a secure bond with a joining film that minimizes chatter marks, ensures a smooth running belt, and produces consistent finishing results. A sine wave splice is constructed of interlocking fingers that enable the splice to travel smoothly over contact wheels, reduce hinging, and provide added strength to the joint area. Sine wave splices are typically used for coarser grades and wide belts.

    Trusted 3M Cloth Belt

The 3M Cloth Belt 341D offers reliable performance with its aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. This belt is designed for metal deburring and general metalworking, making it a solid choice for professionals who need consistent results.

Its resin bond withstands high heat and pressure, ensuring durability during tough sanding tasks. The 341D model is well-suited for various applications, including some woodworking jobs, thanks to its versatile abrasive properties.

    Durable X-weight Backing

This belt features an X-weight cloth backing that holds up under heavy sanding and grinding. The sturdy backing supports the abrasive grains, providing long-lasting use even in demanding environments.

The 1-1/2 inch by 60 inch size fits many portable and edge belt sanders, making it practical for detailed work. Its cloth backing also helps the belt conform to contours, improving the finish on complex surfaces.

    Precise Size And Format

The belt measures 1-1/2 inches wide by 60 inches long, a common size for portable and edge sanders. This dimension allows for effective sanding on narrow surfaces and edges, ideal for cabinetry and metal edges.

It comes in a case of 50 belts, providing ample supply for ongoing projects. The film-lok format ensures a smooth running belt with minimal chatter, enhancing the quality of your sanding results.

    Effective Film-lok Splice

The Film-lok splice technology creates a secure bond between belt ends, reducing chatter marks during use. This results in a smoother finish and consistent performance across the belt’s lifespan.

This splice type is especially beneficial for the 341D belt’s 80 X-weight grade, helping maintain strength and durability. It’s designed to work well with die grinders and rotary drills when paired with a rubber expander wheel.

    Versatile Case Of 50

Sold as a case of 50, the 3M Cloth Belt 341D offers great value for frequent users. This pack size supports continuous work without frequent reordering, ideal for busy workshops or industrial settings.

The belts’ single-flex design allows them to fit various sanding tools, including wide belt and portable sanders. This versatility makes the 341D a practical choice for many metalworking and woodworking applications.
