3M Cloth Belt 341D is a durable aluminum oxide cloth belt recommended for your metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. It is suitable for wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding, and can be used for a variety of applications on metal substrates and wood.

3M Cloth Belt 341D comes with fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing to provide you with continuous cut and long-life performance necessary for more aggressive dry sanding applications. For finishing on metal, the closed coat construction offers a consistent, fine finish, and is suitable for producing a grain pattern. This belt should not be run wet.

Aluminum oxide mineral is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its cut-rate, durability, and long life. It can be used on a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys, and is the most commonly used industrial abrasive. The abrasive particles are adhered to the cloth backing with resin, creating a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure.

Abrasive belts come in many different widths and lengths and are used on a variety of different belt sanding tools for many different applications on both wood and metal. At 3M we offer a broad selection of belts to fit most any industrial belt sander. Wider belts are used with wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels, smooth rough cut edges of metal sheets, or add a grain pattern to stainless steel sheets. Medium-width belts fit onto edge sanders for sanding flat, narrow surfaces such as panel edges; and narrow belts are used with portable belt sanders for sanding or blending wood pieces such as cabinet doors.

Belts come with various splices that join the belt ends. A film media splice achieves a secure bond with a joining film that minimizes chatter marks, ensures a smooth running belt, and produces consistent finishing results. A sine wave splice is constructed of interlocking fingers that enable the splice to travel smoothly over contact wheels, reduce hinging, and provide added strength to the joint area. Sine wave splices are typically used for coarser grades and wide belts.

    Trusted 3M Cloth Belt

The 3M Cloth Belt 341D offers reliable performance with its aluminum oxide abrasive mineral. This belt is designed for durability and fast cutting, making it a solid choice for metal deburring and woodworking tasks. The exact model 341D ensures you get consistent quality every time.

Its resin bond withstands high heat and pressure, so it holds up well during demanding sanding jobs. Whether you're working on metal or wood, this belt delivers the continuous cut and long life you need for aggressive dry sanding.

    Durable X-weight Backing

This belt features an X-weight cloth backing that stands up to heavy sanding and grinding. The tough cotton cloth backing supports the abrasive grains, providing strength and flexibility for various applications.

Because of this backing, the belt fits well on different sanding tools and maintains its shape during use. It’s ideal for both wide belt sanders and portable belt sanders, adapting to your specific project needs.

    Precise 10 Inch Size

The belt measures 10 inches by 70-1/2 inches, making it suitable for a wide range of sanding machines. This size allows for effective sanding on larger surfaces while still being manageable for detailed work.

Its lap skived, single-flex design helps the belt conform to inner and outer contours, removing parting lines and burrs with ease. This flexibility improves finish quality on metal and wood pieces alike.

    Lap Skived Single-flex Format

The lap skived, single-flex construction enhances the belt’s ability to bend and flex without cracking. This format is especially useful when working on curved or irregular surfaces where a rigid belt would struggle.

It fits onto rubber expander wheel attachments (sold separately) for use with die grinders or rotary drills, expanding its versatility across different tools and tasks.

    Case Of Ten Belts

This product comes as a case of 10 belts, providing a convenient supply for ongoing projects or professional use. Having multiple belts on hand reduces downtime and keeps your workflow steady.

The pack count ensures you’re ready for extended sanding jobs without frequent reordering. It’s a practical choice for workshops and industrial settings where consistent sanding performance is required.
